I Want Home Conference 2018

I Want Home Conference The Council of Institutionalized Youth, the national structure representing abandoned children and young people in Romania, a unique structure in the world, organizes, together with Hopes&Homes for Children, Youhub Association and Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj Napoca through the SASCA project, the international conference “I Want Home” on October 11-14, 2018 in Baia Mare.
The first edition of the conference is organized under the aegis of Baia Mare Youth Capital of Romania, in partnership with: Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj Napoca through the SASCA project, Youhub Association, Federation of Youth NGOs of Maramureș, Youth Council of Romania, Timis County Youth Foundation, National Alliance of Student Organizations of Romania, Hope and Homes for Children Romania, Federation of NGOs for Children FONPC, Ministry of Youth and Sport Romania, UNICEF Romania.
The theme of the conference is “Independent, but not ALONE!”. During the debates, we will address topics such as: independent living skills, social inclusion policies for young people who have left the special protection system or who are in the process of leaving the system, national policies on post-institutionalisation of young people.
